Asian Contemporary Bar and Restaurant ‘BUDDHAzen’ Coming to Avenue Bellevue

Avenue Bellevue, the luxury condo, hotel and retail development planned for the heart of downtown Bellevue, recently announced it will be home to an Asian contemporary bar/restaurant called “BUDDHAzen.” Developed by the same team behind iconic restaurants like Buddakan and Asia de Cuba, BUDDHAzen diners can expect stylish décor, imaginative cocktails, inventive menus and a sophisticated nightlife experience—complete with private dining spaces, a wine tasting room, indoor/outdoor seating and a lounge with DJ booth. Avenue Bellevue will be located at the intersection of Bellevue Way and NE Eighth Street.

Maria Phillips: Hidden in Plain Sight at Bellevue Arts Museum

Seattle artist Maria Phillips takes our relationship with plastic to task in her first solo museum exhibition. Hidden in Plain Sight was inspired by Phillips’ experiences during a five-month residency at Recology Cleanscapes’ material recovery facility in Seattle. The exhibition features jewelry pieces, small-scale works and an immersive installation created using recycled materials and single-use consumer goods. Hidden in Plain Sight is on view at Bellevue Arts Museum through March 8, 2020.

Harvest Celebration Dinner at Seven Hills Vineyard Oct. 5

On Saturday, Oct. 5, 140 guests will gather at a world-renowned vineyard to celebrate a bountiful harvest and the culmination of a year of recognition for Walla Walla. Recent Wine Enthusiast Magazine honorees, Walla Walla Steak Co. and winemaker Ashley Trout, will provide an evening of food and wine set in the Seven Hills Vineyard. Walla Walla Steak Co. executive chef, Chad Bostwick, will prepare the five-course dinner for guests. Dinner will be paired with wines from Brook and Bull Cellars and Vital Wines. Reservations are available at
