August is always a special time for me because it is Bellevue Lifestyle’s anniversary month! It’s been two years, and I can honestly say each issue keeps getting better. The team of photographers and writers I get to work with, the stories we get to work on and the response from the community is so positive and fulfilling, and it’s really what tells me that Bellevue Lifestyle is here to stay. We have a lot of fun things coming to finish out 2019 and go into 2020—I can’t wait to share them with you. If you don’t already, please be sure to follow us on Instagram (@BellevueLifestyle) and Facebook (@BellevueLifestylePubs) for real-time updates and behind-the-scenes footage that doesn’t make it in the magazine. Our social media platforms are also a great place to get to know more about the people and businesses featured in our stories, as well as the contributors who were a part of creating the content. Also check out our website (BellevueLifestylePubs.com), which recently got a huge, beautiful update.
With all that said, this month we decided to celebrate some of our cutest residents: kids and pets! There’s no doubt we have some serious pet lovers in Bellevue. I’m personally more of a dog person myself, but Lindzi Cox’s bunny, Buster, is a game changer—for more cuteness, you can find more photos of Buster on our website, and check out page XX for the full story of “Tails of Bellevue.”
Our cover feature highlights father and son duo, Cameron and Colby Smith. Cameron, founder of Seattle Polo and Equestrian Club, shares how horses have brought his family closer together and how “the ranch” has truly been a labor of love.
When’s the last time you had family portraits taken? On page XX [Our Town], we offer some tips for styling the most successful photo session—dog and kids included. Our contributors, Life N Light, share their insight for creating your best family photos.
Cheers to another wonderful year! Thank you so much for following along and sharing your feedback, support and stories with us. We hope to see you around!
