Facebook Signs Lease for Spring District’s Block 16

The Spring District, a 36-acre development project featuring commercial, educational and residential projects, recently announced that Facebook has signed a 13-year lease for the Spring District’s Block 16. Facebook will be part of the 11-story, 316,000-square-foot office space, which is scheduled to have tenant occupancy in January 2020. 

Pro Skater Donates 10 Skateboard Decks to Bellevue Community

The city of Bellevue has many skate programs, including three outdoor parks and one indoor park. Bellevue police officer Craig Hanaumi recognized the high cost of this expensive sport and reached out to pro skater and an original member of the Powell 1980s Bones Brigade skate team, Mike Vallely. Mike, now owner and operator of Long Beach, California-based skate shop Street Plant, recently donated 10 skateboard decks to the “skateboarding cop,” Craig Hanaumi, and the Bellevue community. 

PNW’s First Restaurant from a Three Michelin-Star Chef to Open in 2021

Fortress Development recently announced that the multi-award-winning, Michelin Three-Star chef Joshua Skenes will be bringing Angler, a sea life-focused restaurant, to the two-tower luxury Avenue Bellevue development in downtown Bellevue. 

“This will be the first restaurant in the Pacific Northwest from a Michelin Three-Star chef; we are very fortunate to have his involvement. I can’t wait for our community to experience Chef Joshua’s exceptional talent,” said Andy Lakha, principal and CEO of Fortress Development stated.

Angler is scheduled to open its doors in late 2021.
