Gene Juarez Steps it Up at The Bravern 1

Salon & spa’s new location opening in October

Known for its high standards in beauty and wellness, the 46-year-old Pacific Northwest based company, Gene Juarez, plans to open its new location at The Bravern in downtown Bellevue on October 3 of this year.

The Bravern, a luxury shopping complex paired with high-rise, amenity abundant, residential living, spans the block from 110th Avenue NE to 112th Avenue NE and NE Sixth Street to NE Eighth Street, with easy access to, and off, Interstate 405.

“We chose The Bravern due to its unparalleled collection of some of the finest brands in the world,” Gene Juarez CEO Scott Missad says.  “We are honored that Gene Juarez is associated with those brands.”

Those brands include Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Neiman Marcus. In addition, Bellevue’s own John Howie has his signature steakhouse, John Howie Steak, located at The Bravern.

One of the amenities of the new location for the Gene Juarez salon and spa at The Braven will be valet parking.

“Functionally, the space will be more efficient from a customer experience standpoint, and the amenities, such as parking and valet [service] will be fabulous,” Scott says.

The new salon and spa will be sited on the top floor of The Bravern and spans approximately 17,000 square feet of salon, spa and retail area, which will be under the management of the existing Bellevue salon and spa director, Kaliane Oung—an almost 7-year Gene Juarez veteran.

According to a November 2, 2016, Puget Sound Business Journal article, the current Gene Juarez salon and spa Bellevue location does 10,000 services a month and employs approximately 160 people.

As for the design features, the new salon and spa style has been modeled off the idea of New York loft meets the Pacific Northwest. Think sleek lines with the warmth of the Pacific Northwest, according to Scott. It will also have a couple of new service features to offer the clientele of Gene Juarez.

“Our two newest features are our standalone Men’s Salon concept and our shampoo Oasis Decompression zone where we will take the art of the shampoo and scalp treatments to the next level,” Scott says.

The Men’s Salon will be its own unique space—designed with its own look and feel—and even have its own separate entrance, allowing for ease of convenience for men who want to experience the Gene Juarez mission.

“We are excited to be unveiling our new Men’s Salon concept,”  Scott says. “Designed for men who are looking for superior haircuts, color and our new offering, shaves, in a men’s-specific grooming space.”

And, of course, the new location will be offering all its most popular services, Scott says: color, cutting and design, skincare, facials, microblading and waxing, massage, nails, and makeup will be on offer.

As of yet, a date for an opening day event has not been set, but Scott assures there will be one and that it will be sometime in late October.

The current Bellevue Gene Juarez Salon and Spa is located at 550 106th Ave. NE in the Bellevue Galleria. Operating hours are Monday 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, call 425.455.5511.
